(Hillsborough, NJ) – Iron Peak Sports & Events to take over club operations for Hillsborough Soccer Club after Spring 2024 Season. Both organizations will be entering a transitional period this month until the formation of the 2024-25 Fall/Spring teams is completed in early July.
Beginning in 1976, Hillsborough Soccer Club (HSC) has a rich history of providing quality soccer programming to Hillsborough residents. HSC’s program is open to players U8 – U18 within two skill levels; Mid-New Jersey Division, which serves as an entry level team setting, and EDP Division, which serves as a higher-level travel team.
“I am incredibly excited to start this new chapter both for Iron Peak and Hillsborough Soccer Club,” Iron Peak’s Director of Soccer – David McGillivary said. “This club has such deep roots in our community, and I think it is important that current and future players know that maintaining the HSC identity and the program’s distinction for quality is our top priority.”
Opening its doors in 2020, Iron Peak has already ventured into the club sports arena with its Yeti & Team Elevation Basketball programs. A multi-sport training, recreation, events and entertainment facility, Iron Peak serves as a hub for a full range of sports as well as many other recreational activities. The facility provides an atmosphere of community to sports clubs, event organizers, and participants of all ages. Iron Peak focuses on five principal offerings: (1) youth sports training programs, clinics & camps; (2) sports performance & fitness training; (3) youth & adult leagues, tournaments, and events; (4) fun & affordable family entertainment; (5) facility rental for corporate meetings and social gathering events.
“My vision for Iron Peak Sports & Events has always been about bringing our community together through sports,” Iron Peak Owner – Gregg Wilke said. “All of my kids grew up through the HSC program, and I am looking forward to bringing the program to new heights under the Iron Peak umbrella.”
After taking on club operations, Iron Peak Sports & Events will be responsible for everything from player registrations & carding, game, tournament, and league scheduling. The new organization structure will also feature a 5-person advisory board made up of previous Executive Board members from HSC. Despite a new structure, HSC parents can a greater level of service as the club moves into its next year. Iron Peak is committed to retaining coaching staff and schedules for the immediate future.
